Origin and Importance of Shabad Kirtan
The founder of the Sikhism Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and following Gurus composed shabads to express their teachings. Ever since, kirtan for Sikhs is a spiritual experience, whereby all present supposedly are steeped in the vibration of the Guru’s utterance (gurbani).Through the practice of Shabad Kirtan, Sikhs experience a direct connection with the Guru. It serves as a means of meditation, helping individuals transcend the material world and focus on spiritual enlightenment. The communal aspect of Kirtan also reinforces the principles of equality and unity, as devotees from all walks of life come together to sing praises of the Almighty, reflecting the core Sikh values of love, humility, and selfless service.
Kirtan Classes
Kirtan classes are available for all ages but minimum age should be 4 or above to be able to take commands. Classes are available all seven days.
We have special classes for adults and senior citizens.
