What is Gurmat
“Gur” means Guru and “mat” means thought or ideology.Gurmat can be understood as the teachings and ideology propagated by the Sikh Gurus.
These teachings emphasize the importance of devotion to one God, equality among all human beings, selfless service, and living a righteous life. Gurmat also stresses the concept of “Naam Simran” which means remembering and meditating on the name of God as a means to attain spiritual enlightenment and liberation. Additionally, Gurmat includes principles such as honesty, compassion, humility, and social justice.
Gurmat Classes
Gurmat classes covers Gurbani Kanth , Santhya , Sikh History , Sikh Principles and Sikh lifestyle.
Educating students about the history of Sikhism, including the lives and contributions of the Sikh Gurus, Sikh martyrs, and important historical events. It also includes core philosophies and values of Sikhism.
Santhya Class are available for children or adults who have completed the Punjabi course to join the Santhya classes and learn the correct pronunciation of Gurbani.Teaching students how to read and understand the Guru Granth Sahib and other important Sikh scriptures.
